June 2010 may be too late for SMEs in Canada.

Here's why:

A division within PWGSC designed to streamline IT and save costs is doing so at the expense of small and medium sized businesses across Canada. The Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB) at PWGSC is now a 1645 full-time staff led division with $540.6M in budgetary resources and estimated target IT revenues of $450M+.

While saving money is wise, doing so at the expense of viable businesses and thousands of good-paying Canadian jobs is an ill-conceived public policy.
